You deserve a space where you can be yourself without judgment or pressure to have it all figured out. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and former U.S. Marine Corps Military Police Officer, I bring a calm, grounded presence to my work with clients. My experiences in high-pressure environments have taught me to listen without judgment, stay present when things feel difficult, and meet people where they are – especially during periods of stress, uncertainty, and major life transitions.
I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with a professional who understands what you’re dealing with. Sessions are collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you understand what’s happening, develop effective tools, and build skills you can carry with you later on. The goal isn’t to make you dependent on therapy – it’s to help you feel more confident handling future challenges on your own.
RPM Counseling is my practice. When you become a client, you work directly with me rather than being passed between a rotating team of providers. I believe that consistency and a strong therapeutic relationship are an important part of effective counseling.
I have trained more than 1,000 police officers, peer supporters, clinicians, and corporate teams in crisis response, de-escalation, mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and connecting people with community resources. My work extends beyond the therapy room into real-world crisis and community settings.
I have been featured by WSVN 7News as a mental health expert, including discussion of mental health support for first responders. My work has also included broader community education and crisis-response initiatives.
I am certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based approach that can help with stress, avoidance, difficult emotions, and values-based change. My training also includes Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) techniques, which complement my trauma-informed approach to counseling.
I hold certification through the American Association of Suicidology as a Suicide Autopsy Investigator, with specialized training focused on postvention and understanding gaps in systems of care.
I work with people navigating anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, emotional shutdown, and major life transitions. I also have particular experience working with veterans, first responders, and professionals who regularly operate in high-pressure environments.
I serve on the Mission United Advisory Council, the Broward Suicide Prevention Coalition, and the CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) Task Force. I also maintain membership with the Broward Mental Health Counselors Association and am a badge-verified member of My Needs Network. This work has given me a close-up understanding of the systems, pressures, and barriers that can affect access to care – particularly for veterans, first responders, and families navigating difficult periods in their lives.
Every new client has the opportunity to schedule a complimentary consultation before committing to ongoing care. It’s a chance to discuss what you’re looking for, review insurance coverage, and determine whether we’re a good fit.
I offer in-person counseling in Plantation and throughout Broward County, with telehealth available to clients across Florida.
